MAPLE CITY BICYCLING CLUB

Formed in 1984, the Maple City Bicycling Club (MCBC) is a group of people interested in promoting bicycling, bicycle safety, and friendships.  We have worked with La Porte County Park Department in establishing the La Porte County Bikeway System.

Orchard Country Bicycle Tour is the Club's biggest event.  Every year on the Sunday prior to  Memorial Day, the Orchard County Bicycle Tour helps to get cyclists back into the groove of riding.  This event offers routes of 16, 32 and 63 miles through scenic La Porte County.

 

During the cycling season (April-October) we schedule rides on Wednesday evenings, starting at 5:00 pm, and meet at various points of interest in La Porte, Michigan City and other parts of La Porte County.  The distance of our rides are determined by the riders that show up for that evenings's ride (we won't leave any rider behind: so you need not worry about getting lost from the group).
